December

This Christmas season was fun. We had plenty of things to keep us busy! It was exciting to have a child who was old enough to sort of know what was going on. I've always loved this time of year and I'm glad he was able to enjoy some of the magic of it.

I made a little felt Christmas tree for Owen to play with--mostly he just pulled everything off and threw it on the floor, haha.

Owen loved the Christmas decorations, he had fun helping to tell us what color each ornament was as we were decorating and if it was sparkly or not.

The City of Euless has a parade of lights that Owen really loved. Lots of big trucks and and cars and staying up late: check and check!

Euless also had a Christmas festival with free pony rides and a petting zoo. Owen absolutely loved the bunnies and talked about them for days afterword.

My committee and I were in charge of our ward's Christmas party this year. Grateful for a helpful husband who knows how to use a ladder!

Some awkward photos, but they were so cute in their Christmas outfits!

Matt spent most of his time off building a play set in our backyard. The weather was (mostly) nice and we got a lot of fun outdoor time!

Owen loved going for evening walks in the neighborhood to look at all the Christmas lights!

We were lucky to have Amy come and spend the week of Christmas with us.  Owen loved having another buddy to play with!

We had a nice little Christmas Day at home.  We had Christmas all day long.  We let Owen open things at his own pace. He would get excited and play with things for a while and then say, "Want to open another present?"  He helped Lydia to open hers, too.

Due to weather problems, we had to cancel our road trip to Colorado for Ryan's wedding. I ended up getting a last minute plane ticket and flew with Lydia. Glad we were able to make it to see this cute couple!

Merry Christmas, everyone!  It's been an amazing year. Can't wait to see what 2016 brings!
