Just a warning-this post is a little picture heavy! We celebrated Owen's birthday a few days early this weekend. Owen's favorite book is
The Little Blue Truck-a cute little book about a farm truck so we used that for our theme.
I made a farm cake, it was super easy, although a bit time consuming.
We had some farm-themed food as well including: pigs in blankets, hay bales (rice crispies), farm fresh produce, chicken feed (candy corn), spare tires (oreos), and some shovels and pitchforks to eat it with.
We had a table with some activities for kids--farm animal balloons and farm sticker scenes.

He was a bit timid at first, but then he dug right in. I'm not sure how much he actually ate, but he had fun smearing it all around!
We opened presents next. I think Owen was a bit overwhelmed by all the little helpers :)
