Owen-4 months

Happy 4 months, little Owen!

This months stats:

Height: 27 inches, 99th percentile

Weight: 17lbs 4 oz, 83rd percentile

Head Circumference: 17.25 in, 96th percentile

This month Owen's hands and feet have become his favorite toys.  He's constantly sucking on his fists. Sometimes he tries to fit both hands AND his binkie in his mouth.  It's kind of adorable. He also is becoming a lot more active. He wiggles quiet a bit. He is also staying awake a lot more, so it's been fun to interact with him a little more.

Santa brought Owen and exersaucer, and he is having fun learning how to use  the toys.

 He also is my little snuggler and would sleep cuddled up to me every time if I let him.

He's getting better at sitting up, and his neck is very strong

He now loves baths. He will sit in the tub and kick his little legs as much as he can.

We just love our happy little man!

Owentine

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and to get you into the spirit we've created a few special "Owentines" for the occasion. Enjoy!

1 Year

It was exactly 1 year ago today that we found out little Owen was going to be coming into our lives.  My blood work that month had indicated that I did not ovulate, so I wasn't expecting much. I got up that morning to use the restroom and thought, what the heck, I'll just take a pregnancy test just in case.  I had done this several times before over the past year or so with the hope that I just might be pregnant. When I saw the little pink plus sign appear I couldn't believe my eyes.  I had been thinking about this for a long time and had come up with tons of cute ideas of ways to tell Matt he was going to be a dad, but all of them went out the window.  I immediately ran into the bedroom to wake him up.  He thought something was wrong because I was crying so much. I was so happy that it took me a couple minutes to tell him the good news.  After that I made him go to the store to get two more pregnancy tests, because I still didn't believe it. When they both came back positive, we knew it was true. Every day since then we have thanked our Heavenly Father for this wonderful little blessing in our lives.
