Happy Easter!

This is Owen's first Easter! The Easter Bunny made a little stop.

Of course he liked his $.50 basket the best.

Real men match their mom and wear pink (on Easter).

But let's not forget the reason for the season--so grateful that because of this day this little guy gets to be a part of our family forever.

Spring

I love springtime in Texas. The weather is great and flowers are blooming. We saw these bluebonnets while out on a walk and couldn't resist getting out of the stroller and taking a few quick pictures.

Owen-6 months

Stats:
Weight: 19lbs 13 oz- 85th percentile
Height: 28"- 93rd percentile
Head circumference: 45.25 cm-90th percentile

This month has been all about the food.  Owen has eagerly taken to solids and has loved trying new foods. So far he's had peas, carrots, squash, broccoli, avocado, banana, apples, and pears.

He is getting much better at sitting up.  He is also getting more interested in toys and is good at reaching for and grabbing them.  He loves talking, his current favorite is "dadadada." He is really good at sleeping, he does at least 10 hours straight every night.

"Helping" me do laundry-he grabbed a pair of socks and started chewing on it. Funny boy.
He is getting more and more mobile.  He never is in the same spot in the crib when we pick him up in the morning.  He also loves to grab his feet and roll from side to side.

He has figured out how to scoot backwards-I left the room and came back just about a minute later and he had moved! Time to think about baby proofing!

We go jogging most mornings and Owen has started riding like this-feet propped up. Glad he's comfy.

He keeps getting more and more social. We love his smile!

Oregon Trip

Owen and I just got to spend a week visiting St. Helens while they had their spring break.  He was a champ on the 4-hour flight--he charmed the flight attendants with his cutest smiles.
A few highlights:

Story time with grandma:

Playing with Aunt Amy and maybe abusing the cat a little (accidentally)

 Grandpa playtime and Grandpa nap-time

Enjoying the Oregon greenery

and getting really good at his sitting-up skills!

Can't wait until next time!
